A message out of the past
Showed up today This window into my youth A letter from you Dear girl so young I hear your voice Your trust in me that Forty years later Has not changed Many times I tested that trust And you stayed true It speaks not only of me But also of you My sister of another mother

It's the end of class
We are all letting go Releasing in savasana Letting go of all negativity Into the soothing lull Of Sanskrit chanting Another sound enters The clank and whistle Of garbage pick up Saturday morning Removing the detritus The unwanted the trash Take away the ugly scenes Of bins bags and Broken things Leaves all clean and fresh I think Are you taking My mental garbage too Dump it on to a barge To wander port to port No one to give it a home Doomed to wander forever Or can I Repurpose my negativity Turn it to fertile compost For hope and joy Change bad to good With just a breath An opening and releasing I may not need To release negativity Perhaps I can focus On transformation Release no more garbage Into life |
